How to use the Melita platform
Media literacy is for everyone, and so is Melita. We hope you’ll find this platform intuitive and easy to use. This platform and all materials produced through this project are completely free and open to anyone interested in media and information literacy.
- For an overview of the current state of media and information literacy education, the gaps in dominant approaches to teaching media and information literacy, and how debate-based methods can help address this issue, please see our Pedagogical Strategy.
- For methodological guidelines on integrating debate-based teaching methods with topics on media and information literacy, please see the Melita Methodological Guide.
- To access over 60 lesson plans, please use this platform’s landing page. You can browse the lesson plans or choose one or more filters (theme, duration, level, prep time for teacher, materials, and keywords) to narrow your search for a lesson plan fit for you.
We hope you enjoy Melita. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions, are experiencing issues with the platform, or are interested in translating Melita materials into a language not yet available at info@idebate.net.
